RESEARCH:
Research in my laboratory relates to the areas of: (1) enzyme kinetics and mechanisms; (2) signal transduction, and (3) protein folding. In the area of enzyme kinetics and mechanisms we are using a variety of approaches to examine the kinetic mechanisms of neuronal nitric oxide synthase and rhodococcus rhodochrous nitrile hydrolase. Research in the area of signal transduction involves receptors for retinoids which serve as ligand-activated transcription factors. We are also involved in collaborative studies of the folding mechanism of retinoid receptors and macrophage colony stimulating factor beta.
